Flo’s Ice Pond. Eating Ice.

Eating The Ice Pond

Many people wondered what would happen when Fate’s ice pond began to melt. Today, it is supposed to rise to nearly 70 degrees and we have a good idea what will happen. Fate has begun eating the ice pond. She is clearly aware that the ice is not safe to walk out on, she says close to the shore and does not venture out more than a food or two (the water is just a few inches deep there).

But she does seem to want to eat it. She cracks it with her front pages, pulls chunks of it out with her teeth, drinks a bit and chews on the ice, which she seems to love. She started to pull chunks out onto the dry ground and break them up as if they were treats.

I’m glad to see she is so savvy about ice, when it is hard and thick she goes out and skates, when it is soft and melting, she is very wary of it.
