Chloe: Bloody Ear

Bloody Ear
Bloody Ear

Chloe’s fly mask slipped off her today while grazing and when we went out to check on her, her ears were bloody from black fly bites. Flies are incredibly wicked on horses, we got repellent and medicine cream on Chloe, it was sensitive and a mess in there, she resisted at first, but she trusts Maria and she started to feel better right away.

Can’t quite figure how this one got off, she may have just rubbed it against the grass. Maria checks Chloe carefully at least twice a day. I give her a hose bath every afternoon or evening. I like watering things.
