Alfreda, a farm worker,  was one of my portrait subjects in the portrait show (it’s coming down this Sunday), and when I saw her last night in town, she showed me her newly painted blue fingernails. I decided to do  a black and white portrait anyway, I think black and white captures the souls of people. Alfreda has a warm and honest soul.
