I’m not superstituous but I was surprised to look at this photo – taken with my Achromat art lens – of Gus sitting on Lulu as the sun rose over the hills behind the farm. I suppose there might be a message there,but I don’t dare hazard a guess as to what it might be?
Gus is obviously an extraterrestrial! He is performing a strategic aural alignment with his mothership in case he needs to be “beamed up”. The donkeys, who always know more than they let on, are giving the little guy a lift.
Please don’t laugh when I say this but there is almost something sacred about this photo. Two completely different species connected to each other, living in harmony, bathed in a heavenly light. I love it.

What if it had been written, “The terrier will sit atop the donkey.” instead of “The lion will lay din with the lamb.”? You sure have the light for it!
