All this time, I’ve really wanted a patch after the laser surgery, and I finally badgered the doctors into giving me one. I wanted it as a kind of Pirate fashion statement, but it turned out I really did need one.
My eye was oozing fluid after the surgery and and my heavily dilated eyes were blinded by the light. The patch was quite helpful. I thought it might give me a kind of rakish look, but it was actually quite utilitarian.
