Bedlam Farm Wool: Natural Hues Now On Etsy, An Experiment

by Jon Katz
An Etsy Experiment

Maria is trying something new, something that has already turned out to be exciting.

For the first time, she’s offering our Bedlam Farm wool on her new Etsy site.

The dyed wool – the teal and coral skeins – sold out yesterday. These natural brown and gray skeins – from Pumpkin, Griselle, Susie and Biddy, Sox and Izzy – will be sold only on the Etsy site, a lot of people have suggested it will be easier for them to find and purchase them there.

I think it will be easier for her, also.

The idea is for the potholders and some of the wool to be sold on Etsy, the hanging pieces and quilts will be sold only on Maria’s website, fullmoonfiberart.com. Most of the potholders sold on the first day, she is putting some more up.

This is in no way  a move away from her blog, just a convenience to offer her regular buyers and also any newcomers. People are sometimes frustrated because they don’t see things to buy when come onto the blog, now they have a 24-hour, seven day alternative.

On Etsy, buying something takes about two seconds, it has become one of the premiere artistic sales outlets in the world.

Maria and I are very protective of our blogs, they are and will remain the centerpiece of our creative and personal lives.

Maria is very pleased so far with her Etsy experiment, here are only two potholders left. Maria also has roving up on Etsy, there are 32 skeins for sale, $25 plus shipping. The four roving bumps are $25 each plus shipping.

Check out the wool here.
