The Death Of A Snail

The Death Of A Snail

Socrates, our snail, died yesterday, it seems to have been natural causes. Snail’s don’t live very long and Socrates had a pretty good life. Maria was fascinated with him and fond of him and wrote her obituary this morning. I have to confess that I didn’t love Socrates as much as Maria did, but we were fond of him. This afternoon, I’m going to rush out and get another snail, Maria loves watching them

She chastises for not being as appreciative of him as she was, this may be true. It’s sort of like chickens when the die. I don’t mourn them either. But he was a good snail, if you can describe a snail in that way, and I’m not sure what else to say for once. Maria is going to call the next snail Socrates II, and the one after that Socrates III. So there will always be a Socrates snail hanging around here. Life goes on. And on.
