The Hat Party was a smash, everyone got the hat they wanted. I knew Sylvie would go for the Russian Bear Hat, and she did, she insisted on trying on as she lay dow to take a nap, and she said a photograph was a must.
She love the hat, put it on and said she was going to sleep with it. She wants to wear it tomorrow while walking around. I can’t wait to take a photo of Sylvie in full regalia.
She gave me a huge fistful of letters to mail out, I am helping her address them and put stamps on them, I think many more will arrive now. Sylvie loves to get letters, you can mail her c/0 Sylvie, The Mansion, 11 S. Union Avenue, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.
I sent out nearly 60 Sylvie letters this week, and I think they are all addressed properly with the correct postage. Sylvie loves her hats, and I think she will especially love this one. I know it isn’t really a bear in that hat, but it is soft and fuzzy. And different.
Sylvie is excited about coming back to the Mansion next Monday.
Sylvia’s hat reminds me of my favorite hat- my husband calls it my ‘baboshka ‘ hat. (I likely misspelled that, but I think you will know what I mean.) Mine is black knit trimmed in fur, I think it was made in Australia. I lost my 1st one, and was lucky enough to buy the last two at the store in Cambria. You & Maria would love Cambria, it is a neat little town with many artists shops. I may have to write to Sylvie, as a fellow hat lover!
