Podcast 14: Love And Hope (And Life) At Bedlam Farm

by Jon Katz

You can listen to our new podcast here, and at the bottom and top of this page and post.

Maria and I recorded our 14th podcast this morning, it was longer than usual – close to 40 minutes, which surprised us – but it was also full and uplifting and revealing, at least on my end. We usually shoot for 20 minutes, it sure went by fast for us.

Maria was grumpy at one point, she even showed her owl scowl, but she got past that, and we both talked about the power of our visits to Bishop Maginn High School, our week on the farm, which was full of meaning and change, from Bud’s herding to Maria’s belly dancing to my work with the refugees and the Mansion.

Our podcasts are real, just like us, we don’t polish them up. It is a joy to do them together.

We talked about what makes a wonderful teacher – a/k/a Sue Silverstein in her art class at Bishop Maginn. We talked about our upcoming 9th anniversary. Lots of things to say, life is full and rich here.

We both love doing our podcasts together, we hope you do also, thanks for the good words about them. Feel free to share them with your friends, if you like them. They are now available on Itunes and Google, as well as Spreaker.com.
