Mix And Match: Off To Make Yarn

by Jon Katz

Fashion icons need to be innovating all the time, so I’ve decided to do more mix and matching with my socks. Why not? Push the envelope.

Zinnia is happy to be a lawn decoration, still and regal to help me show off my colorful legs.

In a few minutes, Maria and I are heading off to Vermont to bring her wool to the Vermont Knitting Mill to be made into yarn and roving. On the way back, we’ll stop to visit our shearer, Liz.

We’ll be back in mid-afternoon. Our farm sitter is here already. She adores the dogs. It will be interesting to see if any of our favored eating places in Vermont are open.

I keep forgetting that the Pandemic changes everything.

P.S. We’re starting a compost next to Maria’s vegetable garden ordered a box and compost starter. We’re going green this year. The solar panels are working beautifully.

  1. Love the socks. I’ll bet you have another pair just like them ? Zinnia has a ‘master of my domain‘ look about her… calm and regal.
