Yellow Barn At Sunset

by Jon Katz

I love to take a photo of my favorite yellow barn at sunset, with the sun hovering right about it and making my camera sensors a little nuts.

I love this barn every time I take a picture of it, it’s always different and the sun always goes a little crazy in the processing. There is no good aperture opening for this shot.

But to me, they are always beautiful.

  1. Ghostly with rainbow colors and a cone of light projected onto the grass. I love it!
You’re right, there’s always something special about the photos of this barn

  2. After reading your post about George Forss and his brother Mickey, then opening this photo, I was struck by the fractured light emanating from the sun and the shape of the shadow on the ground. Whether or not one believes in UFO as George did, I was struck by the thought that this was George, letting you know he was okay and in a good place.
