I’m working at getting in good with the hens, and so far, so good. I used to put the house on them when they came on our porch to steal cat food and poop all over the place.
I also shot two roosters in a row, they kept attacking people.
I decided to try a different approach and make friends with the hens. This is a peaceable kingdom. So I launched the meal worm campaign. I put meal worms in a feeding bucket or spread it on the ground and make chicken noises.
They are no longer afraid of me, they follow me around, walk between my legs, and cluck at me. The Peaceable Kingdom.
Love the spider rescue. I do the same. I don’t let them stay in the house, but always catch them and put them out side.
If its winter, I try to put them where they have shelter, under the porch, etc. I know its a shock to them, but they have plenty of fellow spiders who do ok in the winter.
