I’m drawn again and again to the sky for my photographs, and especially my new Leica camera. It somehow captures the drama of the winter sky, which is both beautiful and dramatic at the same time. I have the sense that the climate change sky is an angrier sky and a more colorful one.

This one, talent his afternoon, seems to me to be setting and powerful at the same time. The sky to me is demanding that we pay attention to Mother Earth rather than defile the great gift the Earth has been to us.

In the Kabbalah, God warned that if his people didn’t take care of the earth, he would abandon them and leave them to their fate. When I look at this sky, I sometimes think I am hearing this message. Today is the first day of more light after the solstice. Every day will be brighter than the day before, an inspiration and a blessing.
