ARMY OF GOOD: Tools For The Mansion Garden

by Jon Katz

I went over to the Mansion today to do another Mansion Faces Portrait and check on the garden being planted outback.

I saw Tania and the staff planting the seeds we sent them and digging with their bare hands. Okay, they agreed, we need some digging tools.

The Mansion Garden is big and beautiful, a gorgeous tradition. We are helping to restore it fully.

I’m bringing flowers, hanging baskets for the front porch, and some small shovels tomorrow. I’m also bringing flowers for the dining tables and potted plants for Memory Care.

Thanks so much for your support. If you wish to contribute to our Mansion work, you can do so via e-mail, Paypal via [email protected], or Venmo, Jon-Katz@Jon-Katz 13. Mail by Jon Katz, Mansion/Refugee Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.

My portrait of Mansion resident Ann Quinn, retired nurse, and photo will go up tomorrow. She has never really quit nursing and caring for people, even as the Mansion, as good nurses have told me is usually the story.

Thanks.
