Grazing, A Meditation In Nature

by Jon Katz

Grazing is a meditation for me, I never tire of seeing it, watching it, being soothed by it. Bud always tries to drive the sheep away by barking at them, but they mostly ignore him. This morning I just stood by the fence and listened to the animals pull the grass up. It is a beautiful and calming practice, timeless and iconic.

  1. I think one of the most calming moments is listening to the horses or donkeys just chewing on their hay. So peaceful
