Portrait: Robin Staying Cool On The Wood Pile

by Jon Katz

Robin staying cool on the wood pile from the apple tree limb that fell. When it’s over 90 degrees, he is always there.

  1. Jon, look at how you captured the light on the sheep, it’s so mixed in with the wood logs and background it was almost hard to pick out the shape of the sheep. Perfect…it makes the eye and mind work a little harder to see what is before it.
This is fun, design comments bed*mned, you are doing some really spectacular work. I know….NO MORE BOOKS… but honestly the Georgia O’Keefe lights and darks is exquisite. A book on flowers, a book on the shapes and images of a farm???

    1. Thanks Sandra, I was very drawn to the sense of isolation and melancholy in the sheep, I have to give the Leica credit for the shadow wood, I’ve never had a camera so good on detail.
