Waiting For The Storm. We Are Cozy And Ready And Strong. Blog’s Back Up

by Jon Katz

Okay, I think the blog is working again; we had a two or three-hour mess; I’m not sure what happened, but it seems it’s working again. I got a lot of compliments for the flower photos, but I have to say, I’m getting even more for the Flower Therapy on dark days and the cold.

They seem especially radiant in a storm.

Somehow, this is the answer to a storm. Color is a force all of its own; many people have written me to say the images calm and slow them down, are a prelude to meditation or solitude.

As you know, I work hard on my photography and am slowly improving.

The flower pictures were a landmark for me, a breakthrough, I learned so much from taking them, and it is an incredible thrill to find that they can be just as beautiful and appreciated – maybe even more so – in the cold and dark as they were in the Spring and summer.

I’m already ordering seeds for next year and studying some plant possibilities for next year’s Garden Bed plantings. I hope the Garden Of Good Garden people sticks with me; they were accommodating.

I know the names of a lot of flowers and plants.

And thanks again for all the lovely comments about Flower Therapy.

It means more than you might think, and it is kind of you to take the trouble. The flowers are a beacon of light and love in a time of anger and hatred. I didn’t know or quite get it before; I was too distracted.

We’re into the Winter Pasture, and the heat is on me (from me) to rise to the moment.
