Color And Good Night. And I Got Sick Tonight

by Jon Katz

I’m sorry, but I got sick tonight and won’t be able to put up my daily Photo Journal, What Christmas Means. Maria says I have to get into bed, and when Maria lays down the law, I obey. Resistance is futile.

I’m hope I’m well enough to deal with the big storm coming tomorrow and the frigid cold after it. I hate to think of Maria doing all the work herself. But I would be useless, I admit, and she loves to work.

I did stay up long enough to get one more Flower Therapy photo up. People all over the country are going to need it, and I promised to do it.

See you tomorrow unless the power goes out. Warmth and comfort to you all. The Californians who read my blog – they are numerous – are trying not to smirk. But they’ve had their own troubles.

See you on the other side. Stay safe and warm.

  1. Oh Jon, SO sorry to hear you’ve been hit with another bug. I hope it is mild and short lived. Healing and blessings to you and Maria both………. you are both near and dear to my heart. Hope the storm doesn’t pummel you too badly……. you will both persevere…….maybe not always *fun*, but you will. Of that I have no doubt. Be well, please, SOON

  2. Glad Maria is sending you to bed to rest. I hope you feel much better soon. I look forward to reading your words and find it comforting to learn about the farm and look at your interesting and artistic photographs. Sending healing energy. Stay warm and safe. Self care is a blessing and gift we give ourselves.

  3. Stay warm under the blankets and hope you soon feel well. The flash freeze concerns me about our power lines …hope everyone comes thru safely, esp the homeless ! Wishing you all good health and abundant blessings

  4. I had what they said was the flu and it lasted for a week. Hopefully you don’t have that and will be better soon. I live in east central Illinois and last night it got down to -10 and the wind is fierce. It is still -5 and not supposed to rise much more. The wind is really bad. I live in an old trailer and I had to let the water run in both bathrooms and the kitchen and hopfully no freezing. I am trying to stay positive but I have to admit it is scary. Anyway. get better and sorry to whine at you when you are sick. Lol.

  5. Sorry you’re sick Jon. Maria is a blessing to you and to those of us who read and care about you! Be well soon. Maria will batten down the hatches, take care of the animals and you, I’m sure. Much thanks for your blog and its contents every day. It helps keep me going…
