I went out to check on the animals in the pasture this afternoon, and I was snacking on three dry wheat crackers, my favorite afternoon snack.
The donkeys came rushing over to the gate, braying softly and giving me the pleading donkey eye. Those eyes get me every tie.
They got the crackers.
Jon….. they are so pretty. Didn’t know donkeys were so soft, silky and doe-eyed, like in a painting in a children’s book. 💖
Possibly my favorite, favorite photo of Lulu and Fanny ever. That one deserves a frame! It will make me so happy to see every morning when I hear them in my mind’s eye braying for their morning treats at the gate. <3
