Free Flower Show, Sunday, June 4, Dusk. Art Flowers. New And Different Pictures. This Is Becoming A Spiritual Thing

by Jon Katz

A darkened hospital room night after night is a good place to meditate, think about life, and know what you miss. I missed Maria the most, then Zinnia, then the farm, then my blog and always my photography. I really missed my flowers I wanted to take photos of them and even dreampt about them.

So this afternoon, after my third or fourth attempt at rest, I went out and tried to get some of those pictures I imagined. Here they are. These are some of my new art photos, an experiment I am enjoying very much, and I hope you are too. Thanks for all the wonderful messages about my flowers, they mean a lot,and I read every one of them.

Flowers are challenging me to be creative and keep learning and experimenting. I’m still exhausted, I suspect I will be for a few days. But I am better, a little bit every day. My new peony lit me up. So does a wider view of photographic beauty and emotion.

  1. Still think your photos would look great on T- shorts, mugs, bags – whatever. Try cafepress.com, a place to put your art on stuff and they print and ship.

Good Luck! The world should be so lucky!

    1. Thanks Cynthia I very much appreciate those sentiments I guess I just don’t want my pictures on mugs and bags, erecting. I’m happy with where they are

  2. What’s not to love about peonies – they are magnificent. Really enjoying the flower/art show. It has energized and motivated me to do more with my flowers, plant, yard.

    Thanks so much.

  3. Your photos are so magnificent. They bring such beauty right into my house. Thank you so much for them. Glad you’re home and getting back into your routine. Hello to Maria and the animals—keep healing!

  4. I always look forward to your blog posts, and the pictures of your farm, its animals, the dogs, and the flowers. That little yellow flower may be Lantana, one of my favorites for hanging baskets. Thank you for sharing your life with us this way.

  5. The small yellow flowers look like Lantana to me. They are great – can bloom all summer. The white flowers you called Shooting Stars look like Columbines. I have some large yellow ones which also bloom all summer, if they get enough water. Love your new peony! So glad you are recovering well 🙂
