Gloomy Day, Off To Dr. Daly, Checking On The Foot

by Jon Katz

My mood is often tied to the sun and my blue sky. Today is gloomy, misty, heavy in Canadian wildfire smoke, and hard to breathe easily. The Peone looks beautiful in the rain.

The Canadian wildfire smoke is supposed to last into the weekend, then drift West and South. I’d suggest taking it seriously. We are really feeling it here.

We’re heading off to Dr. Daly for my scheduled check on the foot that landed me in the hospital last week. The food and the toe looked great, and hopefully, I can get out of the surgical shoes and shower again. We’ll see. I dodged a bullet last week and am grateful.

The good news is that I heal quickly and well.

Maria and have a favorite breakfast place in Schuylerville on the way to Saratoga Springs and the surgical podiatrist’s suite. We’ll stop for an egg sandwich.

I’ll stop to get some Amish cookies for the nurses there. They love cookies. More later, I have lots of stuff to write about.

More later.
