Update: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is currently experiencing severe disruptions due to ongoing legal battles related to the federal government shutdown. The situation is fluid to say the least, involving conflicting court orders and a push by the government to limit or claw back benefits.
______
In the meantime, life goes on at the Pantry, which is seeing an influx of new families responding to the loss of their SNAP benefits. This is what Sarah is asking for today for the Pantry. Let’s do some good today.
Campbell’s Chunky Soup, Steak and Potato Soup (case of 8), $13.73.
Campbell’s New England Clam Chowder (Case of 8), 413.73.
Woman’s Shelf, URGENT:
Tampax Pearl Tampons for Women, 34 Count, $8.94.
__________
We can also donate to help families navigate the SNAP crisis, which we hope will soon come to an end. New families are steadily signing up for Pantry aid and seeking help.
The Pantry donation address is available at Cambridgefoodpantry.com/donate or by mailing it to Cambridge Food Pantry, P.O. Box 473, Cambridge, NY 12816.
Cash will enable the Pantry to address any emergencies promptly. They are currently low on money. Their own government allotments have been reduced, and their funds are dwindling. The Snap crisis was expected to be resolved shortly.

All the items on the wish list are urgent now. I would hope that we continue to do what we have been doing, which is a lot. We are needed more than ever. The Pantry is not in any danger. Let’s help in any way we can; this crisis will not last forever.
You are doing great work. Today, I have a request for some basics: steak and potato soup, clam chowder, and Tampax tampons, which are both urgent and essential. All are on the Wish List. Thanks for being here.
Thanks for the Diaper support, Size 3.
