For once in many weeks, the news has pushed me away from nature and the Pastoral world, though it hasn’t kept me from going outside with my camera at dawn and beyond. After that, I came in and I was startled by what I was hearing and seeing. Is it my imagination, or has Mr. Epstein, wherever his spirit has gone, shown us that we can come together as a people? Evil is no match for good.
It feels like a historic day, and I think this morning’s flowers are special, stirring and calming, and remind us that we are all human beings, good is inside all of us, even dead villains. No one has a copyright on fairness and justice; it lives in all of us. Nature was humming to me this morning. We are all human beings. We can come together. Just maybe it’s better than hating one another.
