The Cambridge Pantry got a kind of break this week, snow blocked two servings, and for once, there is enough produce and basic foods on the shelves to last for a day or so. Not so fortunate for families scrambling to get the things they need for Christmas and running into all kinds of roadblocks.

We can help them have the items they want when they can return.

Sarah has declared this “Baking Day,” cheese garlic biscuit mix, chocolate chip muffin mix, and triple berry muffin mix. Betty Crocker and Christmas seem to go together.

These meals are essential, one of the things the families like to prepare together, make quickly, and without a mess. I hope we can help them:

Unlike many food pantries, the Cambridge Pantry asks the families what they want to eat, and if they can afford to buy it, they will. There isn’t much budget money these days, so they ask us to help. I consider this a great gift, a way to do good and feel good.

These are the items the family requests and looks for; these foods directly affect their morale during difficult times. As you can see below, Sarah constantly looks for the most affordable items she can find. We can feed people and boost their morale at the same time.

Thanks again for helping people who have nowhere else to go, now more than ever. Your work is an excellent blow for humanity, more than ever as Christmas approaches.
