What A Camera Sees

What A Camera Sees

I just got my fourth video camera of the year this morning. The Panasonics were just too fragile for the work I do with them, so I got a Canon HD Vixia HFM 40. Trying to figure it out. Some trouble uploading from Imovie. Technology requires almost continuous management for me – Steve Job’s creations unleash my creativity, but are not, in fact trouble free.  I believe the management of modern creative technology requires a psychology all of its own. You need patience, support, and of course, money. I’ll get there.

I’m getting ready to do another edit of the “Frieda and Me: Second Chances” book and then I’ll start preparing for the publication of two more books next year – “Lenore Finds A Friend,” and “Dancing Dogs,” my first fictional short story collection. It’s fun book, offbeat and different for me. But the holiday season will be quiet for me. Just photos and blogging and videos, no book writing. Editor’s orders (agent too). They want me to step back, slow down. I want that also. I’ve got a good stack of books to wade through and the farm is never quiet. Next year, I will start on the Simon book.

Maria and I loved Thanksgiving, the first one we spent entirely on the farm, with one another and the animals. I need to share my life with someone, I see, and I am not sure why I did not see that before, except I did not see many things before. Back to the video editing.
