Rocky loves his new stall, is in there all throughout the hot part of the day. This is his first indoor shelter in the past 15 years.  He seems transformed in someways – Maria saw it too. He hops in and out of the stall all day, and every time we peered in through the barn, he was inside gazing out at the field. It’s cool in there, few flies, lots of shade, hay and some fresh water. He doesn’t have to stand out in the hot sun or walk down to the marshes for water. Since the pasture is so dry, we are giving him so hay. He is eating it.

He has no trouble navigating the step, he seems to know precisely where it is now. He is much more animated and responsive. Very alert, very affectionate.  He looks great.
