Maria had a pleasant surprise today, she found two eggs in the roost. The chickens usually don’t lay eggs until the day is longer and brighter, but we think the two new Brahmas are setting their own rules.
The eggs are delicious, very different from storebought eggs, and we’ll have these for breakfast tomorrow, probably on some whole-grain toast. Maria, as you can see, was pleased.
