The Memorial Garden Grows

by Jon Katz

My memorial garden, planted two weeks ago to remember the children killed by gun violence, is doing some healing itself and continues to grow and become more beautiful.

We can’t yet muster the will to protect our innocent children, but we can and must try to remember them.

  1. So true! Maybe the faces of all those killed in school shootings since Columbine should line the walls of the House and Senate so they don’t forget either. I know many of those in DC are trying to do the right thing and make sensible laws that protect our citizens and Second Amendment rights. It’s those that think military rifles and high capacity magazines belong in the hands of the general public that need to look at the devastation these guns cause in the wrong hands. In the mean time I try to stay positive and remember that small acts of kindness do so much more for all of us than the division and hatred. Thank you so much for your positive blog. It is one of the things that keeps me hopeful for our country!

    Have fun at the Prom!
