Fate and Maria are a perfect pair. They have similar energy levels, are always eager to work, and are always together. While Maria edited her Monday morning video, I took Fate out with Zinnia and me to take some photos.

Fate tore around the pasture as usual while Zinnia sniffed for small frozen chunks of sheep manure (ever the Lab). The cold wore Fate out, and she was happy to come in and lie in her bed in front of the fish tank – the morning sun suddenly appeared and shined right through the window near her.

It is freezing out there, the coldest day so far. It wears me out as well as the dogs.

I thought the image was classic,  the photo composed itself, and it looked like some New Year’s card some people send out using their dogs.

An unusual couple of days. Maria and Fate are relaxing.
