– Pinterest. We live in a sea of toxic, unhappy, and ignored people.  They have new tools for trying to be heard. I have learned that cruelty is their only means of fighting back. Fighting back is no good for the victim or the hater. A therapist I trust told me I am much better off than they are. Please have mercy on them, a pastor told me once, they are in pain. When I get angry, a voice in my head says, “Talk to the flowers.” Honestly, it works, to my amazement. Sometimes I count to 20. The anger is gone.

My assistant charges two to three neck scratches per hour.
