What better Pastoral Image than a young Amish man riding his horse through a hill to hay the mountain? The Amish prefer not to be photographed, but they don’t mind pictures taken from a distance that don’t show their faces. In deference to them, I no longer take photos of them at all, but this one was both irresistible and not a problem. I saw the forecast yesterday for this morning and went out with my friend Ian McRae to take some unusual afternoon pastoral images. I did much better than I thought I would. We need an afternoon Pastoral since the light is so different. I need to try it again. Everything looked different, but the same.
