The week before Christmas, the Cambridge Food Pantry is getting ready to store some food for the holiday and beyond. These days, we look ahead as well as now.
Items requested for food support today, Saturday, 20, 2025:
First, Huggies Size 6 Diapers, 16 Count, $9.94.
Size 6 Diapers are a continuous request from the Pantry—one of our specialties. We haven’t failed yet to get what they need, thanks.

(What is the Army of Good? Simple, we do good all over the country.) Next week, the Pantry is closed.” I’ll be here daily, and with a special holiday post.

Next week, the Cambridge Pantry is closing. Hunger and struggle are sticking around. I’ll be posting Pantry needs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday right up to Christmas Eve, which I will skip.
On Christmas Day, something special: I’ll be posting a single item that Sarah, the Pantry Director, will choose —something they really need help with—a nod to the meaning of the holiday.
I wanted to mark the lives of two special heroes of good: Producer Rob Weiner, who brought so much joy to so many with his movies, and Jesus Christ, whose birthday we are celebrating. The items we sell are a call for good on the day, when they have such tremendous meaning.
Both stood for kindness and charity. Weiner said Christ was his moral guide even though he was Jewish. Me too.
This is a powerful statement for us all; all of you are welcome on Christmas Day. We are keeping good alive.

One way to help the Pantry is to check the Cambridge Food Pantry Amazon Food Wish List. This list is continuously updated, and everything on it is urgently needed and hard to obtain. Today, the Pantry is asking for help getting salt, coffee, and wet wipes for babies, Same as yesterday. Families have requested all of these items, which they cannot afford.
You can make your own donation choices.
You can access the wish list time by clicking the Button at the bottom of every blog page on my website. If you’re up at night or itching to do some good, you can make a big difference by sending something from the list, and you can make Christmas, and the days after – a tough time for struggling families – a happier day.
Anything you can do to help will be appreciated. After Christmas, the Pantry families will still have food needs, the Army of Good is going strong, and when the holiday is over, there will still be food on the shelves for them to eat.
