Nice to have the sun back. We have a lot of cleaning up to do today, and tonight we’re going to Mass MoCA in Massachusetts to see a Rock Musical. We’ll be back tonight. My new friend Angie, a young photographer, is coming over today to photograph the donkeys. I hope she lets me post some of her photos; she’s got the bug.

St. Jo got knocked around, and his shoulders rolled several feet away. We’ll know next week if he can be put together.
A new landscape, at least for a while.
I took this picture during the worst of the howling winds yesterday. Zip was afraid of the noise and rushed to Zinnia for comfort. She did comfort him, touching noses and staying close.
This is Zip’s favorite warming spot; his fur absorbs the sun and is very warm tothe touch, even in subzero weather.
I love the first light on the dining room table. Glad to see the sun back.
Maria, artist to the bone, takes her camera out wherever the sunlight appears. So do I—the annals of creativity.

The miracle urn was spared destruction when the birch tree limbs fell; it was surrounded by heavy logs and left untouched. Ed Gulley’s Wind Chime was also spared. I’m not superstitious, but it does seem strange… some gardens were mushed.

The greatest friendships are those that offer comfort. I drop my life’s ennui when I see photos of Zinnia & Zip greeting each other.
Thanks their friend ship is beatiful to see
I like St. Jo just the way he is — looks like an emerging miracle to me. It’s rather like the Tin Man’s hat, I think.
